Writing Section

There are two writing tasks. The first is an integrated task that requires test takers to read (academic passage, 250 words), listen (2-minute lecture), and then write in response to what they have read and heard. You should spend 3 minutes reading, 2 minutes listening, and then 20 minutes writing.

The second is an independent task where test takers support an opinion on a given topic. You should spend 30 minutes.
